Doctor Who at the Royal Wedding

I missed this. Perhaps my memory was erased. Oh, Doctor, you are one cheeky prankster aren't you.

Charlie Brown Gets Back at Lucy

I love this "Pop Culture Shock Therapy" from 4/27/11:

Our "Silly" President

Two days ago (Wednesday, April 27, 2011), President Obama held a press conference. That's nothing unusual; President Obama can be seen on tv more often than a movie star plugging their latest picture. The press was gathered there under the impression that the President was going to be speaking about his new security team. Instead, the President released his birth certificate. Instead of talking about the real and difficult issues facing our country, President Obama devoted the time debunking a conspiracy theory. Dana Milbank sums up the event best in an essay for The Washington Post.

As Milbank says, "Speaking to 'the vast majority of the American people, as well as to the press,' the president said: 'We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do.' The President then flew off to Chicago to be on Oprah."

The Unicorn Express Video

I came across this video a couple years ago. I think it's hilarious, particularly the ending segments.

Doctor Who and Charlie Brown

Here's something for all you Doctor Who fans out there: the April 11, 2011 "hijiNKS ENSUE" webcomic.

Superman's Birth

I found this comic surprisingly funny. It's the April 4, 2011 "HijiNKS ENSUE" webcomic.

24 Hour Read-a-thon

This Saturday, April 9, 2011 is the spring Dewey's 24-Hour-Read-a-thon. You don't have to read for the straight twenty-four hours, but you can still participate by reading for a few hours. I'm going to be out of town on Saturday, so I'm not going to be able to complete the read-a-thon (though since I read a little everyday, I guess I'll be unofficially participating). However, I did want to pass along the information. If nothing else, just check out the website

Stephen Colbert Sings "Friday" on Jimmy Fallon

Just for fun. I found this video highly entertaining. Even a yeti likes the song.

If "Friday" is as terrible as many people say, why does it have over 82,000,000 hits on YouTube and why are Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and Taylor Hicks singing the song? The lyrics are lame, but they really are not that much different than other songs in pop music.
