Written by The Oatmeal (aka Matthew Inman), IF MY DOGS WERE
A PAIR OF MIDDLE-AGED MEN is a collection of comics that does just that:
presenting a variety of situations that happen all the time with his dogs, but
the situations become completely absurd and hilarious if the dogs were
middle-aged men instead. While I enjoyed IF MY DOGS WERE A PAIR OF MIDDLE-AGED
MEN, it isn't a book for everyone. While the humor is in the same vein of many
of The Oatmeal comics, it isn't quite as violent, biting, or dark. At the same
time, the humor is on such an absurd level, that not everyone can appreciate
it.
A blog of the great "TV", an international man of mystery and distinguished gentleman. Adventures in education, useless trivia, spiritual observations, the life of a struggling actor, and rants on movies and books are just a minute sampling of the day-to-day experiences in the life of TV. Come, read about it, and enjoy the ride.

Children's Book Review: POOR LOUIE
The title character in POOR LOUIE is a little Chihuahua. His
owners have made him the center of attention and he loves it. However, things
slowly start to change for Louie. It begins when he's no longer allowed to eat
at the table with his mom and dad. Then other changes start to take place. It's
around this time that even his owners begin calling him "Poor Louie."
Louie realizes that one of those human babies is on the way. However, when
things start showing up in twos: two beds, a stroller for two, etc. Louie has the realization that there might
not just be one baby on the way, but two! So, Louie decides to run away. But he
doesn't get very far before and the owners are almost home. Poor Louie! I
really enjoyed POOR LOUIE. The animation reminded me of some older school
Disney stories, such as 101 DALMATIANS. POOR LOUIE is a great little story.
