Archie Comics has been completely revamped and ARCHIE #1
begins the series again anew. Set in the present day, Archie has lived next
door and been best friends with Betty since they were five. The issue begins
with Archie breaking the 4th wall and explaining that he and Betty
have recently broken up because of the "lipstick incident." It's never explained what that is, but the
rest of the comic has most of Archie's friends (except for Jughead) trying to
get Archie and Betty elected the Homecoming King and Queen so they'll get back
together. Although the setting has really been revamped, I really like the
style and story of the new Archie and found ARCHIE #1 a great read. I'm looking
forward to reading more in the series.
